MAYS LANDING-- A national retailer is doing its part to help out of work Americans make a good first impression.
The Men's Wearhouse started its third annual National Suit Drive today. The community has already donated a rack full of gently used suits at this Mays Landing location. The suit donations are for at risk men transitioning back into the workforce.
"It's great. Men's Wearhouse has at the cornerstone of its philosophy to be involved and reach out in the community in every way that we can," said store manager Jim Ellis. "Come on down bring whatever you got that you aren't wearing anymore. We'd love to have it and help get that back out in the community," he added.
Last year, the Men's Wearhouse collected 72,000 items, including suits, shirts and shoes. The store will give out new ties for each suit collected.
