MAYS LANDING -- After having her conviction of a fatal drunk driving hit and run accident overturned, Paula Cicchinelli is now free on bail.

The 61 year old has been jailed since 2007 for an accident that claimed the life of Nicholas Marvel, 18, back in November of 2004.

Although she was sentenced to 15 years behind bars, an appellate panel ordered a new trial last week.

Family members were able to post the $100,000 cash bail to free her until her retrial.
