MAN SENT TO HOSPITAL AFTER SHOOTING IN ATLANTIC CITY

ATLANTIC CITY -- A shooting in broad daylight has police asking for the public's help in finding the suspect responsible.
Police responded to the area of Saint David's Place and Winchester Ave. for a report of three gunshots fired just after 2 p.m. Upon arrival, officials located blood on the sidewalk in the 3600 block of Winchester Ave. Minutes later, AtlantiCare called police to report 22-year-old Sahmaj Oatman had just entered the emergency room with gunshot wounds to his upper torso and right leg. He is suspected to survive. Witnesses say a black colored SUV was seen fleeing the area and traveling out of Atlantic City on Albany Ave. Anyone with information is asked to call Atlantic City detectives at (609)347-5766. |
