ATLANTIC CITY---Two Atlantic City sisters who claim they are victims of police brutality spoke out Monday because they feel their case is being swept under the rug.
Shaheedah Woodal said, "I'm not really sure what kind of justice would be the outcome of this but i want something done."
25-year old Shaheedah took NBC 40 back to August 8th, a day she says she'll never forget.
The disabled woman, told us she and her sister were trying to get inside of a Bally's bar when chaos broke out.
Shaheedah sister, Khadijah Woodall said, "We actually never made it inside because they shut it down because it was a fight inside there."
Immediately police were called to the scene and all of a sudden they found themselves stuck right in the middle of everything.
Shaheedah added, "We were being yelled at to leave the building I was actually explaining to the officer that i cant move any faster than i already was i lost my cane."
Khadijah says she was trying to protect her sister from falling over, and that's when police became aggressive towards them.
"2 officers came and held onto both of my elbows and about 10 minutes later I was bit by a dog that was actually being shoved into my face, " said Shaheedah
NBC 40 obtained a picture of the bite mark on Shaheedah's breast.
And pictures of Khadijah too, who also sustained injuries.
NBC 40 made several attempts to talk to police since last week, We even called to talk to someone Monday especially because NBC 40 received a press release 8 days after the incident and it said something different.
The press release from Atlantic City police never mentioned a dog bite, but it mentioned a minor injury, plus it said that the two women were out of control, causing one of girls to change their views about police.
Shaheedah said, "I don't trust them I don't like them now and I'm more afraid of dogs."
Last week, the women tried to file a complaint with the Internal Affairs Department, but were unsuccessful.
However, they say a detective and someone from the department contacted them regarding the situation, but a formal complaint has yet to be filed.
In the meantime, the girls are seeking justice, and answers.
